I am Terence McCrea—a portrait artist, educator, Marine Corps veteran, and lifelong student of people.
My work is rooted in a simple belief: every person deserves to feel seen with dignity, strength, and intention.
Most people do not walk into a portrait studio feeling completely comfortable in front of a camera.
They arrive carrying questions, insecurities, expectations, and sometimes years of believing they are not photogenic.
I understand that being photographed can feel vulnerable. That is why my responsibility begins before I ever raise the camera.
I listen. I prepare. I guide. I pay attention.
My goal is not simply to make you look good. It is to create an environment where you feel safe enough to be present, supported enough to let your guard down, and confident enough to recognize yourself in a new way.
My life has taken me through military service, technology, education, cosmetology, photography, and decades of creative exploration.
Those paths may seem unrelated, but each one taught me something essential about people.
The Marine Corps taught me discipline, preparation, accountability, and service.
Technology taught me how to solve problems, build systems, and pay attention to details.
Education taught me how to communicate clearly, guide patiently, and help people discover what they are capable of.
Cosmetology deepened my understanding of presentation, styling, facial structure, and the small choices that help someone feel polished while remaining authentic.
Photography became the place where all of those experiences came together.
Technical expertise is important, but it is only one part of an extraordinary portrait experience.

Years of photography, visual storytelling, lighting, composition, and creative practice allow me to guide each session with confidence and intention.
Military service shaped my standards for preparation, discipline, responsibility, and honoring the trust others place in me.
Teaching strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, break unfamiliar ideas into manageable steps, and guide people with patience.
My cosmetology background supports a more informed understanding of grooming, facial structure, styling, and the details that help clients feel polished without losing their identity.
